This definition is at the heart of my yoga teaching and practice. By bringing conscious attention to the breath, and synchronising this with the deliberate movement of the body we come into a moving meditation.
I’ve found yoga to be deeply beneficial in my life on many levels. Of course it brings strength, flexibility and efficiency to the physical body but more importantly, for me, are the calming and centring effects on a psychological and emotional level.
